They Came, They Saw, They Ponged…

10 September; Author: Kez

They Came They Saw They PongedBeer Pong Britain’s first event was a huge success, with one happy ponger proclaiming it ‘the second-best night I’ve attended where ping pong balls are a key part of the action’. (Thankfully, reports that the Daily Mail has denounced Beer Pong as ‘the root of all evil’ remain wide of the mark.)

The players’ facial expressions said it all: concentration, anguish and elation were all on show as balls missed, rimmed or were sunk over four engrossing hours of Beer Pong action.

Among the teams to catch our eye – not necessarily for their Beer Pong prowess – were The Imperturbables, Diamond Lights and The Aussies. The former delighted with their uncurbed enthusiasm for their new-found sport, while the latter exhibited admirable doggedness despite a series of over-pitched Mitchell Johnson-esque deliveries.

You may have seen pictures of the event on Sky Sports News, but if not, you can check them out here. Big thanks to all those who attended and to Barracuda for hosting the night.
